Hello and welcome to our lab website. We study plant ecophysiology and plant structure and function using a combination of field and greenhouse studies, lab work, and microscopy. Our work is diverse, focusing on crop drought stress physiology, conifer adaptations to water deficit, the evolution of xylem structure and function in ferns, and more recently, tree physiology in the context of fire. Our goal is to understand how drought stress physiology underpins plant evolution and ecology.
It's not just about us. All creatures deserve a good life. Let's treat every life and everything on this planet with love and respect.
